We look forward to welcoming you to CoRL 2022 in Auckland, New Zealand – the first time that the conference is organized in the Southern Hemisphere!

Nothing can replace the experience of engaging with fellow researchers in person and we strongly encourage attending (if possible). New Zealand has stunning geography and Auckland combines a vibrant urban atmosphere with beautiful scenery that includes harbors and islands, volcanic cones, native bush, and black-sand beaches. We plan to host the Welcome Reception at the Auckland Museum and the Banquet at the Museum of Transport and Technology. Moreover, the conference will be hosted in spacious new buildings offering state-of-the-art facilities in the University of Auckland – City Campus.

We also acknowledge the many challenges related to time, cost, health risk, carbon footprint, and inconvenience associated with attending conferences in person. CoRL offers online registration this year to allow online access to live stream of all presentations. While we will do our best to facilitate the experience of online attendees, we have decided to not offer online access to the in-person poster sessions to prioritize the experience of in-person attendees. We will organize separate online poster sessions.

If no authors of a paper can attend in person, they need to indicate this during registration.

Please note that we plan to use part of the registration monies to offset the carbon footprint of travel for the in person participants using certified carbon offsetting projects in New Zealand and/or overseas.
